About
Texan trio bring their country swagger back to the UK in 2025
Grammy Award-nominated trio Midland are bringing their special Texan Country swagger back to the UK with a host of headlining dates this September, their first since 2022 and following a blistering set at C2C Festival in 2023, summed up by the Daily Telegraph newspaper as “the superb Midland”.
Bringing their masterful live show and chart-topping songs across the pond, the stellar trio will play four highly anticipated shows at London’s Roundhouse, Manchester Academy, Belfast Custom House Square and Glasgow O2 Academy.
Double Grammy, multiple CMA Awards nominees and ACM New Vocal Group of the Year winners Midland have sought to reintroduce the Western plains, Laurel Canyon-cum-Bakersfield and Lone Star juke joints to Country music since coming together at a friend’s wedding over common influences and the need for a return to this sort of post-Urban Cowboy Country.
For lead singer and guitarist Mark Wystrach, bassist and vocalist Cameron Duddy, and lead guitarist and vocalist Jess Carson, the 5x platinum hit 'Drinkin’ Problem' set the stage for their critically acclaimed debut album, gold certified On The Rocks. Three further albums Let It Roll, The Last Resort Greetings From and the Dave Cobb-produced Barely Blue (Big Machine Records) consolidated the band’s reputation and continued to unite classic country fans, hipsters and media including Entertainment Weekly, GQ, The Washington Post, Vogue, Esquire, Variety, Rolling Stone Country, NPR, The Times, Daily Telegraph, Music-News, Entertainment Focus and Holler.
Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, the trio of songwriters who developed their sound at Tornillo, Texas’ storied Sonic Ranch, have built a following that has sold-out the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show, packed a multiple-night stand at Ft. Worth’s iconic Billy Bob’s, re-opened North Hollywood’s legendary Palomino Club for one night only, headlined Europe’s Country To Country Festival and played capacity headline shows across the UK. Bringing listeners a resurgence of their thick harmonies, sad melodies, sharp lyrics, and steel guitar, the retro-Nuevo trio has grown from bar band to in-demand headliner who even put together their own cruise that set sail April 2024.
