The last ever London performance by The Wolfe Tones
Traditional Irish music trio The Wolfe Tones have announced their last ever London show – and their biggest UK show to date – taking place at Finsbury Park on Friday 5 July 2024.
Celebrating 60 legendary years together, they will be joined by The Undertones, The Sharon Shannon Big Band, The Scratch and Brògeal for the momentous occasion.
Speaking about the show, Brian Warfield of The Wolfe Tones says: “The Irish diaspora across the world have always been massive supporters of The Wolfe Tones, and no greater support was had than from the Irish in Britain! I wrote ‘My Heart Is In Ireland’ as a tribute to the Irish in England, Scotland and Wales. The London Irish hold a very special place in our hearts, there are too many shows to mention but the great nights in The National in Kilburn will never be forgotten. It is most fitting that The Wolfe Tones 60th Anniversary Concert will be our final London performance. It will also be our largest ever in the UK, with a headline set in Finsbury Park! We promise to make it a very special experience for what we hope will be a massive attendance as we say farewell to London – Let The People Sing!”
From humble beginnings in Dublin to the hallowed halls of Carnegie Hall in New York and the Paris Olympia, The Wolfe Tones have enthralled generations of Irish music fans across the world with their own unique style for 60 years. In a career spanning from 1964 to 2024, the group have firmly solidified their status as pioneers in the traditional Irish music genre. Following a record-breaking appearance at Ireland’s Electric Picnic in 2023, which saw the much- cherished band draw one of the biggest crowds in the festival’s history, The Wolfe Tones now prepare to bid farewell.

Great night even with the rain. Was lovely to be there for their last show in London💚🇮🇪☘️
We didn't let the rain spoil our day out. The event was very well organised, the best I've seen at an outdoor concert. We went smoothly through security and the ticket check, although I would always prefer paper tickets. The food and drink were delicious, not cheap but much better than I'm used to at concerts. The toilets were good and clean. The covered walkways came in very handy in the wet weather, otherwise we'd have walked through a field of mud. The music was great with an efficient sound system, I particularly enjoyed the Wolfe Tones and the Sharon Shannon Big Band, I liked the Undertones and Brogeal too.
The Wolf Tones were amazing, the VIP experience was absolutely not worth the money. The entrance in was the other side of the park, a long walk from Finsbury Park Station. The toilets were disgusting, the screen showing the concert in the bar was showing a split image, huge bodies with tiny heads no where near their bodies. Absolutely, not worth it. 1 star for VIP experience.
Amazing day that brings the curtain down on the legends that are The Wolfe Tones in London. All the favourite sing along songs with two renditions of the Celtic Symphony how can that be wrong. For all the years I've followed you enjoy your retirement either that or see you on you 65th anniversary tour
Last performance by the Wolf Tones in London and despite the rain they didn't disappoint. They were as fresh sounding as when I saw them first 35 years ago. Left with more fabulous memories ☘️🇮🇪💚
